Burn and Wound Care
A wound is a break in the tissues of the body. Some injuries, like cuts and scrapes, are called open wounds; others, like deep bruises, are called closed wounds. They are usually caused by external forces such as motor vehicle accidents, falls, and the mishandling of sharp objects, tools, machinery and weapons.  Paradigm Physical Therapy offers a full range of treatments for many kinds of burns and wounds.
Burns and Wounds We Treat
  • Post-Operative wounds (stitching, staples, taping, dressing)
  • Incisions (more procise cuts from knives, glass, metal edges, etc)
  • Lacerations (more jagged, irregular cuts or tears)
  • Punctures (piercing of the skin creating a hole, typically pins, splinters, glass, etc)
  • First, Second, and Third Degree Burns
